Preview: Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace

An eventful Premier League round is drawing to a close, but first, we have the matchup between Nottingham Forest and Palace at City Ground. The injury-hit home team is expected to face tough opposition from a Palace side eager for a win, as they still haven’t secured their first victory of the season. Betting tips for tonight’s game can be found at the end of the article.

City wins after falling behind, again

No huge surprises in the other matches this round, except for the fact that ten Arsenal players fell short against Bournemouth. Another notable result nearly happened when Wolves scored first at home against Manchester City (which we recommended betting on at odds of 4.05), looking well on their way to securing points. The score was 1-1 until the fourth minute of stoppage time when City’s highly controversial goal was allowed.

Sunday’s big match at Anfield delivered excellent entertainment, with Liverpool securing their seventh win in eight league games. Curtis Jones was the match-winner and deservedly awarded Man of the Match.

Nottingham Forest – Crystal Palace

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest has had a great start to the season, losing only one of their first seven games—and even managed to beat Liverpool at Anfield. They were close to another shock win away at Chelsea before the international break but had to settle for a 1-1 draw in a tough battle at Stamford Bridge. Tonight, they will be without two of their most important players, as Morgan Gibbs-White and James Ward-Prowse are both suspended. Meanwhile, Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare are still sidelined due to injury. Nottingham Forest hasn’t won any of their last six home games.

Crystal Palace was overrun in the first half of their last match before the international break when Liverpool visited for lunch. They played much better after the break, and with a bit more composure in front of goal, it could have ended with points. However, the league leaders left Selhurst Park with a 1-0 victory. Offensively, Palace has struggled the most, with just five goals in their first seven games. For the first time since 1992, Forest could start the season with eight straight games without a win. Olver Glasner has no new injury concerns to worry about.

Betting Tips

Five of the last six meetings, and all of the last three, have ended in a draw. Tonight, another draw seems likely, with odds of 3.20 worth considering. We also don’t expect a goal-fest, and betting on under 2.5 goals is a solid option.
