Leicester defeated Bournemouth at odds of 3.10 but there were no other major upsets in the Premier League on Saturday. Arsenal went behind at home against Southampton but managed to avoid a scare and won 3-1. Liverpool kept a clean sheet for the fifth time as Diogo Jota became the match-winner against Crystal Palace, while Manchester City, after early struggles, won 3-2 at home against Fulham.

Liverpool, Arsenal, and City are the clear favorites to secure the top three spots, while there are plenty of contenders for fourth place. Most of them will be in action on Sunday, when Villa hosts Manchester United, Chelsea plays hosts to Nottingham Forest, and Tottenham visits Brighton at the Amex.

Brighton spent over £200 million on new players this summer, but “forgot” to sign a fast center-back who could adapt to manager Fabian Hürzeler's planned high defensive line. Defensive mistakes have piled up, most recently in last weekend's 2-3 loss to Chelsea. Brighton won their first two games of the season but have not secured three points since. Joao Pedro is still injured, but Brajan Gruda, Solly March, and James Milner are all reported to be ready for a potential comeback. Joel Veltman and Simon Adingra are doubtful.
Tottenham dominated Manchester United at Old Trafford, and the win was never in doubt. However, against such a weak opponent, they should have won by far more goals, and the reason it stopped at three is that Timo Werner still lacks confidence in front of the opposition's goal. They lost 2-4 in Brighton last season. Heung-Min Son and Richarlison are injured, while Destiny Udogie is doubtful.
